Five Best Smartphones of 2018 Announced By Dot Com Magazine

Five Best Smartphones of 2018

Generally speaking the battle for best smartphones usually goes, in my people’s minds, to either Samsung or Apple, as they are arguably the most popular phone manufacturers. However, to help you out if you’re trying to figure out which phone you should be spending your money on this year, we’ve highlighted, at DotCom Magazine, our five favourites released in 2018. Some our choices may surprise you, while we are sure others won’t so much.

Smartphones

Google Pixel 3

Well, we’ve decided to pick out one that is neither a Samsung or an Apple product to kick our list off. The Google Pixel 3 has been chosen because we believe this is pretty much the best camera phone. The curious thing is it is not just down to the hardware really. It’s more about how Google have implemented it. The company have found stunning ways to use AI on this fairly small phone, such as Top Shot which sees the phone pick out the best photos and a feature that sees Google Assistant transcribing calls when you receive them out of the blue. The quality of the images this phone produces are sublime to say the least and there’s even optical zoom functionality without the need of a secondary lens.

OnePlus 6T

Onto our second pick and still no sign of the Galaxy or iPhone…yet. We’ve chosen the OnePlus 6T because we believe it offers the best value for money. The reasons we say this are quite evident when you start considering the fact that it is the first phone sold in the country that comes finger reader in-screen. The phone benefits from an OLED 6.4-inch size screen and dual cameras that have been improved since the last model. It runs on the Snapdragon 845 processor and offers storage of 128GB and Ram of 6GB.

Galaxy Note 9

Galaxy Note 9

Finally, the first sign of one of the big two on our list. We decided to mention the Note 9 because we feel it is the best large screen device. We know it’s not cheap, but if you are looking for the ultimate in large smartphone screen that offers the best quality, then this is the phone for you. You also get brand-new cameras that are assisted by AI. These can help choose the best photos by recognizing key elements in similar scenes. There’s also the S Pen that is connects to the phone by Bluetooth and gives you the chance to control the phone wirelessly for playing music and taking selfies. What’s more, it provides you with 11-hours of power for a single charge.

iPhone 8

And with the fourth on our list we have the first sighting of Apple here. The iPhone 8 has been highlighted because we feel it is the best small-scale phone available. It offers you the most amount of power per inch compared to any other device out there right now. Running on the A11 Bionic chip, it still makes many of the best Android phones look inferior and has a fast and much bigger camera sensor that will help you to take more realistic photographs.

iPhone XS Max

Sticking with Apple now and the iPhone XS Max, which is arguably the best smartphone that is currently available. Okay, like the Note 9, it’s ridiculously expensive. However, if you’re looking for the best, this is it. You get the 6.5-inch OLED screen, better cameras. There’s so much else to love about this phone. The split-screen functionality, for one.
