Brew Agency
Brew Agency is a full-service branding and advertising agency with a knack for business, strategy and visual communication

Marie, thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy day to answer our questions about leadership, and entrepreneurship.

1. Marie, please tell us about Brew agency. What is the elevator pitch?

Brew Agency is a branding and advertising agency. Brew Agency is a full-service branding and advertising agency with a knack for business, strategy and visual communication. We understand that every business and organization has unique needs, which is why we’ve customized our approach for everyone, from start-ups to mature businesses looking to evolve and grow. Our team is completely dedicated to providing the best service with a collaborative, personalized approach. We are resourceful, budget conscious and ready to meet your needs.

2. What is the one thing that makes Brew agency great?

Empathy!

In order to be a great marketer or communicator, you need to be able to understand your audience. We have a unique ability to read a room and create emotional connections with our audiences. We are pros at building relationships whether in-person, through social media or any other method of advertising. This skill takes a high level of emotional intelligence that’s core to our team.

3. Please tell us what is the key to being a great entrepreneur?

A passion for your work and a love for serving others. Every day, I ask myself how can I help the team or help our clients achieve their ultimate goals. When you set your focus on the needs of others, you can’t go wrong.

4. What is the best advice can you give to a young entrepreneur just starting out with a new venture?

Take smart, intentional “baby” steps. Rome was not built in a day, and neither should your business. Know your product better than anyone and make sure there’s a need for it.

5. What is the one thing that you, as a person, want to be known for?

My faith in God, who has guided me along this journey. My successes are truly because I prayed for guidance listened to Him in my most dire times of need.

6. When building a business, what is the one most important thing to keep in mind at all times?

It’s not about you. It’s about your customers and your team. Always put them first.

7. When hiring employees, what is the one most important thing you look for?

We look for employees that align with our core values, and we make sure they are hungry, smart and humble. Shoutout, Patrick Lencioni!

8. What is your “Why”? Why do you get up in the morning?

During the first 10 years of my career, I struggled to find a balance between my work and my family. This struggle led me to start my own business, so I could create my own schedule and be there for my family when they needed me. As soon as I realized I had the opportunity to grow an agency, I knew I wanted to provide a workplace for others that would meet both work and life needs and that would put families first. Brew Agency was founded and still thrives on this purpose – to provide an inspiring work environment for family-centric people that supports flexibility, encourages mobility and ignites creativity.

9. What is the one thing that makes a great company?

Customer service.

10. What is the one thing that makes a great leader?

Leaders are not just born great leaders – I wholeheartedly believe leaders can be developed, and there really isn’t one thing that makes a great leader. It’s the combination of tenacity, authenticity, advocacy and gratitude. You have to be willing to get your hands dirty and go first, and you have to be willing to sacrifice yourself for the sake of another.
