We pride ourselves on quality web design and development, graphic design, brand management and hands-on customer service

Robin, thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy day for this interview about your company, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

1. Robin, please tell us about EyeBenders. What is the elevator pitch?

EyeBenders, LLC just celebrated 14 years in business! We pride ourselves on quality web design and development, graphic design, brand management and hands-on customer service. We make your business our priority!

2. What is the one thing that makes EyeBenders great?

The fact that we honestly enjoy every aspect of what we do! And we are always searching for new technology or ways to do things more efficiently. Another reason we have been around so long is that we don’t talk over our customer’s heads. We make sure they understand everything we will do for them and the costs for each – never any surprises. Our prices are always fair and our work is high quality.

3. Please tell us what is the key to being a great entrepreneur?

The key is to always make your customer #1. To concentrate on one thing that makes you the best and make it better. To create each project as if it were your most important and to care about the results you deliver. Communication with clients is also key – always be honest and upfront with them!

4. What is the best advice can you give to a young entrepreneur just starting out with a new venture?

Put all your efforts into your business. Find creative ways in the beginning to accomplish your goals without spending a lot of money. I have found that entrepreneurs who start out thinking they have to spend a fortune for advertising and marketing and branding materials end up going out of business quicker because they spend more than they make. And only concentrate on one thing – don’t spread yourself too thin.

5. What is the one thing that you, as a person, want to be known for?

I want to be known as a fair and honest business woman who treats every customer with respect and treats their business as if it were my own. I also want to be known as a kind person who is loyal and who loves her family deeply.

6. When building a business, what is the one most important thing to keep in mind at all times?

Pay attention to the details – treat everything you do as the most important job you will ever do.

7. When hiring employees, what is the one most important thing you look for?

Since I use contractors who work from their homes, I need honesty and I have been very lucky with those I have hired.

8. What is your “Why”? Why do you get up in the morning?

Many reasons – I love what I do – I am a people person so I love interacting with all types of people. I like all of the challenges and projects each day brings. And of course to make my family proud.

9. What is the one thing that makes a great company?

Customer service – I am always available to my clients whether by phone or email. They never speak with anyone else but me and each one is special to me.

10. What is the one thing that makes a great leader?

The ability to make decisions. I find too many people are afraid to make a decision for fear of being wrong. If you are wrong or make a bad decision then live with it – fix it –learn from it and move on.
