Paul McGough is the Co-Founder & CTO of Qwyit. Paul, thank you so much for participating in the DotCom Magazine Entrepreneur Spotlight Series. We really appreciate it. This series spotlights leaders, thought leaders, founders and CEO’s that are making a difference in their respective fields.. To begin, we would like to ask you some questions about your business:
-
- Let’s start by telling us about your business.
Qwyit is a Security Engineering company. We are introducing QwyitChip™ (H/W FPGA), The World’s Fastest Encryption Chip.
- Let’s start by telling us about your business.
-
- Please tell us how you make sure your customers will become raving fans of your company?
There’s no universal, simple, fits-everywhere security
method – Current methods are: too big, too complex, too slow, too insecure. Networks have become multi-dimensional where End-to-End
authentication/encryption is impossible w/current methods.
Qwyit will introduce QwyitChip™: our superior,
universal, world’s fastest FPGA Hardware Security
Module to the $15B HSM marketplace. Along with the accompanying identical QwyitSDK™ software
module, it replaces the need for external, separate,
ineffective, costly new H/W. QwyitChip™ performs our QCy™ Authentic Encryption cipher over 3,150 times faster than current AES tech, in only 200 SLOC: delivering the two H/W industry demands: Speed and Efficiency.
- Please tell us how you make sure your customers will become raving fans of your company?
-
- Please tell us the one thing that separates your business from the competition?
The only cyber-security technology company with true innovative technology based on patented, unique cryptographic methods that actually solve today’s security problems (network intrusion, stolen records, daily cloud hacks, etc.)
- Please tell us the one thing that separates your business from the competition?
-
- And to finish this section, Please tell us what is the one major key to your company’s success?
Demonstration. We have our Qwyit Lab. Exactly like the well-known Dolby™ Lab that succeeded in proliferating superior component sound technology by demonstrating it to marketplace participants, we do the same with our superior component Qwyit™ cyber-technology. We build market-driven prototypes that show definitive security improvement over current products.
- And to finish this section, Please tell us what is the one major key to your company’s success?
-
- For our readers just starting to build a company, what advice can you give entrepreneurs just starting out with a new venture?
Define it. There’s nothing like having to quantitatively define your idea – and then be flexible enough to modify it as you receive feedback. Never lose sight of your core plan; but always be willing to incorporate as you learn.
- For our readers just starting to build a company, what advice can you give entrepreneurs just starting out with a new venture?
-
- For entrepreneurs seeking to build a business as successful as yours, what big piece of advice can you give them when times get a little challenging?
Breathe! Nothing – and I mean NOTHING – is ever as pressing, negative or difficult as it appears. There is always time to recover, ways to turn things positive and other ways to get it done. If you relax, pause and reset, you’ll find the answers.
- For entrepreneurs seeking to build a business as successful as yours, what big piece of advice can you give them when times get a little challenging?
-
- In today’s fast changing business environment, how do you stay abreast of things?
As counter-intuitive as it might sound, in order to assimilate the latest ‘stuff’, simplify and choose a few trustworthy resources (news feeds, insider newsletters, websites, etc.) and fully digest them. Instead of skimming ‘everything’, distill down to those that work best for you, and set aside time to investigate, learn and get a well-rounded picture.
