Michael Aizin has been practicing law for over 30 years. There are many things that set him apart from other lawyers and many reasons that a client would want to choose Michael to represent them.
Michael lives in New York, with a law office in Brooklyn, he also is a member of the Bar Association in the states of New Jersey and Florida. It is not extremely common for a Lawyer to practice law in more than one state, but it is smart. Firstly, it takes work to be admitted to the bar in each additional state. Secondly, the lawyer must be sure to stay up to date on the nuances of the laws of each state they practice in. The advantage of practicing law in multiple states is that you have multiple sources of clients. For Michael, it means he can have a nice change in scenery while still doing what he loves. Perhaps when the bitter winters hit in New York, he can pack up for a few months and head to Florida where he can continue to practice law and serve clients there.

The areas in which Michael practices law are many. He is experienced in real estate transactions, commercial litigation, State and Federal Court litigation, Co-op and Homeowners Association representation, business transactions, corporate and international law. From a Homeowner’s Association dispute to a cross-border trade dispute and so many things in between, Michael can help his clients with so many different areas of the law and he is well-versed and experienced in all of it.

No matter the issue, Michael approaches each case with the same level of dedication to each client. Being the hard-working and devoted Attorney that he is, Michael will uphold the values that he believes in and continue to fight for justice.

Let’s start by telling us about your business.

I am an experienced real estate transactional and litigation attorney with more than 30 years of experience. I concentrate on representing coops, condo boards, AG Offering Plan filings and business transactions.

Q: Please tell us how you make sure your customers will become raving fans of your company?

When I work with a client, I do my absolute best for that client. I listen to their needs and then I fight their case as if I were fighting for one of my children.

Q: Please tell us the one thing that separates your business from the competition?

I am fluent in Russian which is something not a lot of lawyers around here can say.

Q: And to finish this section, please tell us what is the one major key to your company’s success?

I love what I do, I am very driven and I would also say that my 30 years of experience is a large contributing factor to my success.

Q: For our readers just starting to build a company, what advice can you give entrepreneurs just starting out with a new venture?

If you are going to put a large investment into a business, make sure you have the determination to back it up. That is going to require a lot of long hours and not a lot of pay in the beginning, so you have to make sure you have the stomach for it before you start.

Q: For entrepreneurs seeking to build a business as successful as yours, what one big piece of advice can you give them when times get a little challenging?

Be sure to be prepared. When you do start to get some money coming in, don’t get too excited and spend it all. You are going to want to put some money away for the tough times.

Q: In today’s fast changing business environment, how do you stay abreast of things?

I subscribe to a few trade journals and magazines, along with checking the websites of the major news networks each day. It used to be that you would watch the Ten o’ Clock news every day to find out what’s happening but now you can know everything in real time.

Q: What is your “Why”? In one sentence, why do you get up in the morning?

I honestly enjoy the work I do, it’s the only reason I have been able to keep doing it for 30 straight years.

Q: In one sentence, what is the most important thing one has to do to be a great leader?

In order to be a great leader, I’d say a person must foremost be knowledgeable in their field but equally as important would be that they have honesty and integrity.

Q: In one sentence, describe how important your customers are to your business?

My clients are the lifegiving blood of my business.

Q: In one sentence, describe a positive way that technology can make the world a better place?

Technology makes the world a better place through its power to connect and through the vast amount of information available at your fingertips.

Q: In one sentence, tell us something positive to motivate our readers?

The only limitations you have are the ones you set yourself.

Q: In one sentence, tell us how you start your day to get ready?

I like to go over the news in the morning and have my breakfast and coffee, say goodbye to the family and then head to the office, or the home office right now, or some days I am off to court.

Q: In one sentence, describe how you handle rejection and setback?

You learn to develop a thick skin and to just keep going no matter what.

Q: In one sentence, describe what your hiring philosophy is?

If I had to hire someone, they would have to be an open-minded individual that was also a forward thinker.

Q: In one sentence, describe how you keep your sanity in a competitive business environment?

I have learned how to leave work at work so that when I am done for the day, I am not driving myself crazy by constantly thinking of work when I am supposed to be enjoying life.
