Hassan Dummar is the founder and CEO of Elixirme Beauty, a company that sells hair and skincare products. Since starting the company, Hassan has focused on providing products made of natural ingredients and using the most advanced beauty products technologies. Hassan started the company in 2015, and through a good understanding of the hair and beauty market, he has grown it into a significant player in the all-natural hair and beauty products market. Today, the company has a line of hair products infused with essential nutrients such as Marula and avocado oils. He has also overseen investments in technologies that aid in the infusion of advanced nano pigments that give clients a more vibrant color, among other technologies. Hassan’s success has a lot to do with his business background. He holds a bachelor of arts in business administration and management from the University of Belgrade. His degree gave him a wide array of management skills that range from customer service, sales, and marketing. Over the years, he has perfected his knowledge of the beauty industry and is continually launching new products to meet customer needs in the best way possible. Besides running a highly successful company, Hassan is also a philanthropist and donates to various courses that target the underprivileged in society. For years, he has contributed to non-profits that champion a better quality of education for children living in low-income neighborhoods. He firmly believes that with the right knowledge, most of the inequality issues experienced today would end. Hassan has also been quite active in charities that have been feeding the homeless during the COVID-19 pandemic. When not running his beauty company or giving to philanthropic courses, Hassan loves cycling. He has done some long rides with his bike to keep fit and also unwind to maintain the mental alertness needed to run his company.

Let’s start by telling us about your business.

I am in the beauty and self-care industry. My company Elixirme Beauty specializes in manufacturing hair and skin-care products. We focus on using naturally occurring ingredients using recent technology to bring out the best for our clients. We serve both male and female clientele and have been doing so for the last five-plus years.

Q: Please tell us how you make sure your customers will become raving fans of your company?

Customer service. It is our key factor in creating loyal fans for our brand and our company. In addition to customer service, we make sure that our products are of the highest quality. It would be pointless to have excellent customer service with substandard products.

Q: Please tell us the one thing that separates your business from the competition?

We try and stay ahead of the competition by differentiating our products. The beauty industry is a susceptible market that you need to be very careful about customers’ sentiments. A few adverse reactions on social media can send your business spiraling down. So, we have to ensure that our products stand out from the rest. That is why we focus on using natural ingredients.

Q: And to finish this section, please tell us what is the one primary key to your company’s success?

One primary key to our company’s success is consistency. We have been giving our customers satisfactory results from the time we started to date.

Q: For our readers, just starting to build a company, what advice can you give entrepreneurs just starting out with a new venture?

Starting a company is not as difficult as people perceive it to be. What you need is to have a passion for something, identify a gap or a problem in whatever you are passionate about, carry out some research to find solutions, and you will be ready to set up that company. You did not require a lot of money; what you need most is a solution or solutions to a particular problem.

Q: For entrepreneurs seeking to build a business as successful as yours, what one big piece of advice can you give them when times get a little challenging

You will face some challenges, but do not give up. Keep pushing, and soon you will find a breakthrough. Most successful businesses are not out of genius or luck; it is consistency and hard work.

Q: In today’s fast changing business environment, how do you stay abreast of things?

Technology is advancing at an alarming rate and changing the business environment with it. To stay abreast of these changes, I keep myself informed and open to new developments and adapt those that are favorable to my company.

Q: What is your “Why”? In one sentence, why do you get up in the morning?

I have to do something that improves my life and the lives of those around me. That is what keeps me going.

You have to be an excellent example for those you are leading.

My customers are my bosses as they keep the company running.

Technology makes our lives easier, better, and more enjoyable.

When you feel like giving up, that is the time you should engage your second gear and push yourself more.

I wake up, pray, a little exercise, then a good breakfast before proceeding with the day’s activities.

I use rejection and setback as a stepping stone to improve on my weaknesses.

Before checking on potential employee academic credentials, I have first to test their character.

Q: In one sentence, describe how you keep your sanity in a competitive business environment?

I know the solution I am giving to my clients, so I keep sane by just seeing them satisfied.
