Let’s start by telling us about your business.
GCA Energy was registered in the late eighties as Greg Continental Agency Limited and acted as an agency company to Siemens Building Technologies UK. Since then, we have undergone extensive growth and now provide a wide range of support services across Nigeria. These services include but are not limited to metering and calibration, fire engineering, environmental services, and onshore and offshore procurement.
Please tell us how you make sure your customers will become raving fans of your company?
We are committed to delivering the best possible results on time and within budget. We take the time to understand our client’s goals and then execute a comprehensive plan of action. We are always searching for innovative solutions.
Please tell us the one thing that separates your business from the competition?
I think above all, we value innovation. We work with industry-leading individuals from across the country, all who bring incredible ideas to the table. We are always thinking ahead, and it is why we remain a recognized name in the oil and gas subsector.

We adhere to a strict code of ethics and operate with both transparency and integrity. We encourage an open communication, and we leverage strong professional connections with other industry leaders. We are optimistic about the continued expansion of the company, possibly expanding outside of Nigeria.
For our readers just starting to build a company, what advice can you give entrepreneurs just starting out with a new venture?
Try your best to form lasting professional connections and when possible, seek the advice of a mentor. More experienced entrepreneurs can help those just starting out navigate the complexities of the business landscape.
For entrepreneurs seeking to build a business as successful as yours, what big piece of advice can you give them when times get a little challenging?
There are always going to be ups and downs when it comes to the business world. Being successful requires a thick skin and when times get challenging then re-evaluate. Re-think your current business structure and analyze what works and what does not. There is always room for improvement. Never lose sight of your end goal.
In today’s fast changing business environment, how do you stay abreast of things?
Aside from valuing innovation we also perform extensive market research. We have established lasting relationships with our overseas suppliers, and we work diligently to ensure our customers are getting the best possible service and quality products.
What is your “Why”? In one sentence, why do you get up in the morning?
I like to think that I am making a significant difference in my industry. I am so thankful for all that I have accomplished in the last several decades. I started working for an airline only to become an entrepreneur of a highly successful business.
In one sentence, what is the most important thing one has to do to be a great leader?
Take accountability for their mistakes and recognize their own faults. Self-improvement is vital to long-term professional growth.
In one sentence, describe how important your customers are to your business?
Our customers are what keep us up and running. As a customer-centric business, we put our clients’ needs above all else. We stress open communication and listen to exactly what it is that they need.
In one sentence, describe a positive way that technology can make the world a better place?
There is no limit to what technology can do to make our world a better place. What is important is that we find ways to integrate technology in a way that does not interfere with jobs and the economy.
In one sentence, tell us something positive to motivate our readers?
“You don’t always get what you wish for, you get what you work for.” I really like this quote by Daniel Milstein. Hard work and perseverance will always pay off.
In one sentence, tell us how you start your day to get ready?
I like to keep my mornings fairly structured. I like to keep active, so when possible, I start my day with a bit of exercise. Then, I will normally make a list of my tasks for the day and then prioritize my responsibilities. I find that taking the time to do this really increases my productivity throughout the day.
In one sentence, describe how you handle rejection and setback?
I take the time to self-reflect. I know my strengths and weaknesses and I use every negative situation as a learning opportunity. I think it is essential to always take the time to understand your weaknesses and look for ways to continuously improve.
In one sentence, describe what your hiring philosophy is?
Our main priority is hiring individuals who can work well with a team. From brainstorming to execution, our entire system is dependent on individuals working together and coming up with new and innovative concepts.
In one sentence, describe how you keep your sanity in a competitive business environment?
I like to practice mindfulness and really try to maintain a positive mindset throughout the day. I also do my best to maintain a proper work-life balance, which I think is essential to mitigating stress and avoiding burnout. I think it is important to do things for yourself.
