The world may be better than you might believe

Founded in 2009, Global Goodness (formerly GoodnessTv) is a French and English web media dedicated exclusively to positive news and its impact. Global Goodness wants to do more than just spread “Good News”, by shining the spotlight on those who are transforming our world (the “game changers”) and on the impacts of their actions. Individuals, organizations and societies–millions of people work every day to make the world a better place. And that changes everything!

The current audience of Global Goodness is mainly made up of millennials, a young and engaged clientele who identify more with values than with products.

The organization was created following a discussion between Laurent Imbault and his mother. At 92, she lived alone and her main contact with the world was television. The news she was watching being mostly negative, it gave her little hope for the future. So, actors Laurent Imbault and his wife Katherine Adams decided to create a media that would offer a more nuanced and positive vision of the world. Stories about inspiring people working to make the world a better place.

Latest research shows that people who read negative news have a significant reactivity to stress. And that’s why the Global Goodness is working to change the narrative with positive information and impactful solutions to mobilize the public for change and inspire action from people who want to get involved in the search for solutions.
